WRC-01
WEIDU
The WRC-01 intelligent data acquisition device features low power consumption and a modular design, serving as an apparatus for data acquisition, monitoring, and wireless remote transmission. It enables real-time collection of multi-channel flow data and directly supports data detection and IoT communication functions. Suitable for integration with industrial and commercial water meters and gas meters to achieve IoT connectivity, it can also be combined with computer technology to form distributed monitoring systems. The device has been widely applied in the field of industrial communication.
Signal Acquisition Communication Interface: RS485, baud rate 9600, supports up to 8 flow meters.
Power Supply: AC 220 V, 50 Hz, or DC 24 V, maximum current 2 A.
Power Consumption: ≤15 W.
Communication and Distribution Output Voltage: Selectable DC 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, or 24 V, output current ≤500 mA.
Operating Temperature Range: -25 °C to 55 °C.
Operating Relative Humidity: 10% to 95% (non-condensing).
Operating Atmospheric Pressure: 70 kPa to 106 kPa.
Powered by a 3.6 V disposable lithium-thionyl chloride battery, recommended model ER34615. With real-time alarm upload, battery service life exceeds 3 years.
Data frequency: normal collection every 15 minutes, uploaded once daily; battery can last 3 years or more.
The on-site wireless data acquisition device is designed in a wall- mounted configuration. Install it in a safe area on-site where mobile signal coverage is adequate, with access to 220 V AC or DC power supply. The construction personnel shall mount the enclosure on the wall and connect the 220V AC power line, the RS485 communication cable from the flow meter, and the communication power distribution cable to the terminal blocks inside the enclosure. When installing in explosive gas environments, all work must comply with explosion-proof requirements. The grounding wire from the enclosure shall be connected to a grounding electrode, ensuring reliable grounding with a resistance not exceeding 4 ohms. Regular inspections shall be conducted to maintain device safety.

FIG.1 Wiring Diagram of Collector and Field Instruments
The on-site flow meter data communicates with the wireless remote data acquisition device via an RS485 interface. The RS485 interface must be connected using twisted-pair shielded cable with a characteristic impedance of 120 Ω. Power cables, telephone lines, or audio cables must not be used. In environments with strong interference, industrial-grade armored twisted-pair cable with shielding must be employed. In favorable electromagnetic conditions and for short distances (less than 15 meters), cost-effective and readily available Category 5 or enhanced Category 5 computer network cables may be used, provided they are enclosed in a grounded shielding layer or metal conduit. Connect the communication external power terminals, communication A, and B terminals of all instruments to be linked under the data acquisition device in a bus topology by parallel connection, and then attach them to the corresponding terminals of the data acquisition device. Before powering on, verify that all connections are correct and ensure that no short circuits or other faults exist between the wires.

Note:
When connecting DC input only, connect the L terminal to DC+ and the N terminal to DC-.
Waterproof aviation connector rated IP68.
