Intelligent Cathodic Protection Test Point Data Collector (hereinafter referred to as the Collector) is an independently developed cathodic protection data acquisition device. It is capable of measuring and recording pipeline cathodic protection parameters such as on-potential, native potential, off-potential, AC induced voltage, and AC current density in field environments. The device automatically transmits collected data via wireless networks to an intelligent cloud-based cathodic protection monitoring system.
Integrating a microprocessor, AD circuit, data acquisition, wireless transmission, and Beidou positioning modules, this wireless collector enables automated monitoring and data transmission. Designed with a low-power processor and powered by long-life lithium batteries, it is suitable for prolonged operation in remote areas.
Widely used in fields, greenbelts, wastelands, mountainous regions, and other hard-to-access locations, the product supports interference monitoring and cathodic protection evaluation for pipelines. It provides effective and accurate data for gas companies to analyze interference corrosion, pipeline perforation, gas leaks, and other risks, thereby enhancing pipeline safety management and reducing labor costs.
This product complies with GB/T 3836.1-2021 and GB/T 3836.4-2021 standards, with an explosion-proof rating of Ex ia llB T4 Gb. It is suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas containing explosive gas mixtures of groups IIA to IIB and temperature classes T1 to T4. It has passed inspection and obtained the explosion- proof certification from the National Center for Quality Supervision and Testing of Explosion-protected Electrical Products.
The device is powered by a high-capacity lithium battery, providing a design service life of over 6 years under conditions of strong signal and one data collection and upload per day.
The unit features a dustproof design with an IP68-rated enclosure for superior protection.
It is equipped with built-in lightning protection circuitry to meet surge protection requirements.
The device supports remote firmware upgrades for the mainboard via wireless networks.
Cloud services utilize high-performance servers from leading providers such as Huawei Cloud and Alibaba Cloud, ensuring automatic data backup and loss prevention.
Measurement parameters include: on-potential, off-potential, native potential, AC voltage, DC current density, AC current density, sacrificial anode (group) open-circuit potential, sacrificial anode (group) output current, and more.
It supports measuring the depolarization process of off-potentials at intervals ranging from 100 to 1000 ms.
In regular operation mode, the data upload interval can be configured from 1 minute to 24 hours.
In alarm mode (configurable as enabled or disabled), when triggered, the device operates with configurable alarm parameters:minimum acquisition interval of 1 second, duration (1-1440 minutes), and upload interval.
In continuous operation mode (activated via platform command), settings include acquisition interval (minimum 1 second), upload interval, start time, and duration.
Sample freeze interval can be set from 1 minute to 24 hours.
Intelligent monitoring supports real-time detection of abnormal on-potential and AC voltage values, with immediate reporting to the management platform.
Online configuration of parameters such as sampling period, upload period, operation mode, server IP, and port is supported.
Communication data encryption employs AES-128-bit encryption algorithm.
Communication keys support online modification.
System time supports online calibration with a clock error of less than 1 second per day.
Cathodic protection method: compatible with both sacrificial anode and impressed current protection systems.

The data collector is equipped with a power switch and a button. The power switch features a built-in red indicator light and a self-locking function. The button has a built-in green indicator light but no self- locking function. Pressing and holding the button for different durations can trigger functions such as network connected key-triggered reporting, enabling Bluetooth communication, and activating Beidou positioning. The corresponding operations are indicated by the two LED lights. Note: The indicator lights only flash as prompts during button operations and do not illuminate or flash at other times.

Power On | Press and hold the power button to turn on the acquisition instrument. The red and green indicators illuminate simultaneously for 5 seconds, then turn off. |
Button Trigger Reporting | Press and hold the key for 3 seconds until the green light illuminates. Upon releasing the key, the device will initiate network connection and data reporting. After the reporting is completed, the green light turns off and the device enters low power mode. |
Bluetooth Activation | Press and hold the key for 6 seconds until both the green and red LEDs light up. Release the key at this moment. The device will then start Bluetooth, and the mobile phone can connect to it via Bluetooth for communication. |
BeiDou Positioning | When the button is pressed for 9 seconds, the green light turns off and the red light turns on. Releasing the button at this point activates the device's positioning function. The red light flashes while searching for positioning information. Once positioning is successful, the red light turns off and the positioning power supply is shut down. The maximum duration for searching positioning information is 3 minutes. If no data is received within 3 minutes, the device will force power-off and enter sleep mode. |

(1) Connect the satellite antenna, 4G antenna (which must be threaded through the mounting hole on the top of the pile before installation), and measurement cables to the corresponding location, network, and signal ports on the control panel of the acquisition unit. The assembled setup is shown below.

(2) Fix the data acquisition instrument inside the pile and connect it to the test specimen.
(3) Warning sign: Potential electrostatic charge hazard. To avoid ignition risks caused by electrostatic charges during normal use, maintenance, and cleaning of the data acquisition instrument, do not touch or wipe the equipment when used in explosive atmospheres. If wiping or touching is necessary, perform the operation in a well-ventilated area free from gas leakage, and clean the housing with a well-wrung damp cloth. Do not use a dry cloth to wipe the housing.
6.2 Installation Precautions
During installation, users shall adhere to the following precautions: The installation, operation, and maintenance of the acquisition instrument must comply with the relevant clauses of the following

GB 50257-2014 Code for construction and acceptance of electrical apparatus installation engineering in explosive atmospheres and fire hazardous environments.
◆ If a polarized probe solution is adopted, the polarized probe must be soaked in clean water for at least 6 hours in advance.
◆ When used in flammable gas environments, do not replace components or modify the structure, as this may compromise the explosion-proof performance.
◆ Unauthorized disassembly or modification of the instrument is strictly prohibited.
◆ If battery replacement is necessary, use only the specified battery manufacturer and model. In hazardous areas, confirm safety conditions before opening the battery compartment cover. Battery replacement must be conducted in a well-ventilated area free from gas leaks, using the same battery model provided by our company.
◆ When used in flammable gas or other explosive atmospheres, installation shall be performed in accordance with GB/T 3836.15-2017 "Explosive atmospheres–Part 15: Equipment protection by type of protection 'n'". The explosion-proof marking is Exia IIB T4 Gb.
◆ Operating the instrument while wearing clothing prone to generating static electricity is strictly prohibited. Before operation, wipe the instrument surface with a well-wrung damp cloth.

Avoid severe impacts during transportation and handling. The product must be transported and stored in its original packaging, placed on a support rack. It should be stored in a location free from vibration, impact, and rain, in a clean and dry environment. The ambient temperature should range from -25 °C to +70 °C, with relative humidity not exceeding 95%. The air must not contain corrosive harmful substances.
